Porch Talk Special Edition – Edna Lockwood Returns

Written by on July 13, 2019

As you may know, the historic sailing vessel Edna Lockwood visited Colonial Beach during the Potomac River Festival.  When she departed, they sailed up the Potomac for two stops in Washington, D.C.  On their return trip toward the Chesapeake Bay, they decided to stop in Colonial Beach for the night.  That’s when I caught up with them.  Listen to Porch Talk on airing multiple times from July 13th to July 19th, and hear my conversation with Captain Rose DiMatteo and Chief Educator Matt Engle.  The pictures below are part of that story.  If you missed the radio broadcast, you can scroll to the bottom of the post, you’ll find the link play the audio of the Edna Lockwood Porch Talk.
