Beach Breeze and Grooves is a show centered around the music played for Shag Dancers throughout the southeast over the last 75 years. Beach music got its name from the music people heard in the pavilions and dance halls of the beaches of Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Shag is the state dance of both North and South Carolina and is popular from Virginia south to Florida. Throughout the southeast, there are over 100 shag clubs where people gather to dance to the music.
