“Talk of the Town” – WWER volunteer Erich interviews Evan Vang, and Joseph “Joey” Glover. The discussion centers around Joey’s lifelong dream of opening Fat Chance Pub and Billiards in Colonial Beach, an establishment he envisions as a family-friendly sports pub and restaurant with a full bar and an emphasis on American fare with a unique culinary spin. Currently in the build-out phase, a food truck is operating on-site to generate revenue and test menu items. The conversation also explores Joey’s unexpected journey to Colonial Beach, influenced by a “shadow senator” from D.C., and highlights his and Evan’s commitment to creating local jobs and a community hub.
