The Ice House Brewery will be CLOSED for private event; The Café will be OPEN for Half Price Bottles of Wine and Open Game Night.

 

 

 

Tuesday, April 21st

El Toro has Taco Tuesday

Enjoy Functional Fitness with Paula at the Colonial Beach Community Center from 10-11.  The  Colonial Beach Community Center is at 717 Marshall Ave. Bring your mat and be ready to work. Classes are reasonably priced and presented by Colonial Beach Parks & Rec.

 

Important voting information:

This is an Important Notice for the upcoming special election in Colonial Beach on April 21st.  Because of construction at the High School, Precinct 5 (the Town of Colonial Beach) will relocate to The Town Center, for this election only.

If you would normally vote at Colonial Beach High School, you should vote at the Colonial Beach Town Center on Washington Avenue (next to the Cooper Library) for this special election only.

If you vote at Oak Grove Firehouse or Oak Grove Baptist Church, you should continue to vote at your normal location.

Thursday, April 23rd

Colonial Beach Farmers Market will be at the Colonial Beach Fire Department, from 8-Noon.  Vendors include Lesleys Gardens and Rhondas Treats, Grow RVA, and Colonial Beach Outfitters.

Ice House has Lunch in the cafe from 11:30 to 3 (free soda with lunch); Trivia Night at 7.

 

 

Friday, April 24th

The Ice House has Lunch in the cafe from 11:30 to 3 (free soda with lunch); Happy Hour with $1 chicken wings and $5 Bites & $5 Brews from 4:30 – 6:30; Live music with “MarJo Delux” at 6:30.

Enjoy Hatha Yoga with Paula on Fridays from 10-11 AM at the Colonial Beach Community Center,  717 Marshall Ave. Bring your mat and be ready to sweat. Classes are reasonably priced and presented by Colonial Beach Parks & Rec.

 

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Oak Grove will be having their Community Meal night.  Menu features Breaded boneless Chicken Breast on a bun,  Macaroni Salad, Fruit Salad and dessert. Weather permitting – you are welcome to eat your meal at the picnic tables on the Green. Just bring your beverage, park in the church parking lot and walk up to get your meal. Take time to notice our walking trail and use the QR codes on the trail to learn about the trees of the Bible!  Drive-thru pickup starts at 4.

 

 

Saturday, April 25th

The Ice House has Breakfast 8:30 – 11 (free coffee with breakfast); Steak Night at 5:30 wsl; Live music with “the New Dominion Band” at 6:30.

“Smart Stroke Virginia, BE FAST” will be having a seminar at the Colonial Beach Community Center, from 10-12.  Learn about Stroke Smart Virginia, BE FAST meaning and how recognizing symptoms can reduce delays in treatment, and how to let others know what to look for. The speaker is Lara Traylor, Volunteer Coordinator for the Fredericksburg Rescue Squad. This is a vital topic that is helpful for everyone in our community!

The Washington Parish Museum, located behind the ST. Peter’s Episcopal Church, in Oak Grove,  will be open from 11-2.  The museum highlights all churches that formed the Washington Parish from the 1600s to the present. The Washingtons, Monroes and Lees are a few of the early American families who helped establish the Washington Parish.is located at the intersection of Rt 3 and 205 behind the Parish Hall of St. Peters at Oak Grove.
Featuring graphic displays and artifacts honoring early Episcopal Church history, the museum highlights all churches that formed the Washington Parish from the 1600s to the present. The Washingtons, Monroes and Lees are a few of the early American families who helped establish the Washington Parish.  The museum is open the Last Saturdays of the month thru October, 11am to 2pm In addition the museum will be open for the  250th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, June 7th !
