Q&A with Mayor – July 2023

“Gentrification” is a word being used in discussions around Colonial Beach to express concern about the redevelopment and growth happening to our town right now.  In this Q&A session, we speak with Mayor Robin Schick about how the town is dealing with this issue and citizen concerns.  We also discuss the proliferation of homes being used as short term rentals (such as Air BNB and VRBO) and how government is dealing with related issues arising from those businesses.
