Meet Patsy Byle, the artist and owner of Bomb Bee Studio located inside CB Creative in Colonial Beach. Bile, a studio art graduate, shares her passion for ceramics and explains the technical stages of production, such as centering clay on a potter’s wheel, kiln firing, and applying glass-like glazes. The studio offers a variety of services, including multi-week introductory courses, weekend walk-in handbuilding sessions, and “paint your own pottery” events during local art walks. Beyond pottery, Bile is a skilled illustrator and painter who accepts commissions and creates public signage for local businesses. The conversation highlights the studio’s welcoming environment for both adults and children.
