Events Aug 22 to Aug 28

This is the WWER 88.1 events calendar.  A weekly roundup of events and entertainment in and around Colonial Beach.

On Tuesday, August 22, CB Brewing has Yoga with Dani Moon starting at 6:00 and Colonial Buzz Wine and Espresso Bar has Yappy Hour from 4:00 to 7:00 with treats and refreshments for dogs and their humans.

On Wednesday, August 23, CB Brewing will hold its weekly Trivia Contest starting at 6:00 and the Ice House has karaoke with Amanda also starting at 6:00.  The Karaoke Contest continues at the Ice House.

On Thursday, August 24, The Ice House has Trivia, starting at 7:00.  At 8PM WWER interviews Veronica Crawford of “Canine Resort”, a new business in Colonial Beach.  If you need care for your canine friend, you’ll want to tune in.  Talk of the Town.

On Friday Aug 25, Josh Misner will be at the Ice House starting at 6:30, Dakota Kensey will be at High Tides starting at 7:00 and Bart Harris will be at Dockside starting at 6:00.

On Saturday, August 26, Steel Peach will be at High Tides starting at 1:00, with Phillip Michael Parsons taking over at 7:00, Debra and Patrick will be at CB Brewing starting at 2:00, The Hard to Tell Band will be at the Backporch Vineyard starting at 2:30, Hydra FX will be at Dockside starting at 7:00 and Jim Shreve will be at the Ice House, starting at 6:30. Also on Saturday the Mount Bethel Retreat Center in King George hosts the fourth annual “Jazz in the County Festival” from Noon to 7:00, headlined by Kayla Waters.  Tickets and information are available on the website at http://www.jazzinthecountry.com  At 9AM WWER interviews Veronica Crawford of “Canine Resort”, a new business in Colonial Beach on Talk of the Town.  If you need care for your canine friend, you’ll want to tune in.

On Sunday, August 27, CB Brewing has Dog Days Drag Brunch starting at noon , Sixty Miles South will be at High Tides from 3:00 to 7:00, Mike Leverone will be at Dockside starting at 11:00, with Squid Ink taking over at 3:00 and the Ice House has a line dance party with DJ Hawt Sauce, starting at 2:00.

Monday August 28, is Bingo Night Monday at the Ice House supporting Colonial Beach Public Schools.
