Events Aug15 to Aug 20

This is the WWER 88.1 events calendar.  A weekly roundup of events and entertainment in and around Colonial Beach.

On Tuesday, August 15, CB Brewing has Yoga with Dani Moon starting at 6:00 and Colonial Buzz Wine and Espresso Bar has Yappy Hour from 4:00 to 7:00 with treats and refreshments for dogs and their humans.

On Wednesday, August 16, CB Brewing will hold its weekly Trivia Contest starting at 6:00 and the Ice House has karaoke with Amanda also starting at 6:00.  The Karaoke Contest continues at the Ice House.

On Thursday, August 17, The Ice House has Trivia, starting at 7:00 and the Colonial Beach Community Foundation has its monthly meet up at the Riverboat on the Potomac starting at 6:00.  The guest speaker will be J. C. LaRiviere, Grant Manager for the Town of Colonial Beach.

On Friday Aug 18, Haze and Dacey will be at the Ice House starting at 6:30, Crowfoot Bottom will be at High Tides starting at 7:00, DJ Turtle will be at Dockside starting at 6:00 and PatLi’s Lunchbox will be serving food at CB Brewing starting at 5:00.

A very busy weekend coming up with the 43^rd annual Rod Run to the Beach and the 8th annual Water Fest on the Boardwalk. The Rod Run opens up at 8:00 and the Water Fest starts at 11:00 on both days.

On Saturday, August 19, Lunatic Fringe will be at High Tides starting at 1:00, with It’s All Good taking over at 7:00, The Medicare Boyz and Friends will be at CB Brewing starting at 3:00, Tunnels End will be at Dockside starting at 7:00, Generation Mixtape will be at the Ice House, starting at 6:30.

On Sunday, August 20, the Rod Run to the Beach and the Water Fest continue. Josh Christina will be at High Tides from 3:00 to 7:00, Whisky Business will be at Dockside Starting at 3:00 and Robin Redman and the Birdie River Band will be at the Ice House, also starting at 3:00.

Sunday is also National Radio Day.  National Radio Day is observed on August 20th every year to honor one of the world’s greatest inventions – the radio.
