This is the WWER 88.1 events calendar.  A weekly roundup of events and entertainment in and around Colonial Beach.

The Big Event this coming weekend is the 71st annual Potomac River Festival in Colonial Beach. The weekend begins with the Fire and Rescue Parade, starting at 7:30 on Friday evening on Colonial Avenue and on to Washington Avenue, followed by the Miss Colonial Beach Pageant on Town Hill.

The festival continues on Saturday, June 11, from 10-5 pm, with food, retail, kids activities, community booths and arts & crafts vendors set up on the Boardwalk, The Grand Parade featuring floats, marching bands, decorated golf carts and more, starts at 12:00 noon, proceeding from Colonial Avenue down Washington Avenue. Saturday evening, enjoy the fireworks beginning just after 9 pm.

On Sunday, June 12, you can stroll vendor booths from 10 am to 4 pm. Watch the Boat Parade, hosted by Colonial Yacht Club, as it cruises the Potomac River, beginning around 1:00 and check out the Pet Parade on Town Hill at 2:00.

On Wednesday, June 8, CB Brewing will hold its weekly Trivia Contest beginning at 6:00 and the Ice House will have Karaoke with Amanda Rogers starting at 6:00.

On Thursday, CB Brewing will hold a Music Bingo Contest beginning at 6:00 and the Ice House will have Trivia Thursday, starting at 7:00

On Friday, June 10, The Hard To Tell Band will be playing at the Montross Brewery from 6:00 to 9:00, Cameron Ashton will be playing at CB Brewing from 6:00 to 9:00, The Chris Ryan Band will be at High tides, starting at 7:00 and DJ Hatch will be at the Ice House starting at 6:00.  Friday is also the Art Walk with multiple locations open from 6:00 to 9:00

On Saturday, June 11, J Paris will be at High Tides starting at 7:00, The Hard To Tell Band will be playing at Triple V Farms in Heathsville from 1:00 to 4:00, Sally and Brian will be at the Ice House from 6:30 to 9:30, Chauncey and John will be at CB Brewing from 7 to 10:00, and at Dockside the music starts with Chris and Rusty at 3:00 and the Homegrown Band takes over at 7:00

On Sunday June 12, Derelicts of Grace will be at High Tides, the Jerry Wimmer trio will be at Dockside, and Ela and CatBoneface will be at the Ice House, all starting at 3:00.
