Sherryl Woods

I recently visited well known author Sherryl Woods at her home in Colonial Beach.  We sat on her front porch overlooking the Potomac River and had a an enjoyable and stimulating conversation.  Sherryl is a prolific author perhaps best known for the ones that are currently TV series “Chesapeake Shores” and “Sweet Magnolias“.  During our delightful chat, I learned about her experiences growing up in Arlington and Colonial Beach, and why she still owns and lives in the family home here. We talked about her varied career which includes newspaper reporter, owning a book store in Colonial Beach for 10 years, and writing 147 books!

Sherryl’s personality is down to earth and charming, and of course she is an accomplished story teller!  I really enjoyed making this Porch Talk episode with her, and I am sure you will enjoy listening to it.
