This is the WWER 88.1 events calendar.  A weekly roundup of events and entertainment in and around Colonial Beach.

On Wednesday, April 6, CB Brewing will hold its weekly Trivia Contest starting at 6:00.

On Thursday, CB Brewing will hold a Music Bingo contest beginning at 7:00.

Friday is Artwalk, with numerous venues participating.  This month there will be a special focus on Osprey and other bird art as this is Osprey festival weekend.  Also on Friday, DJ Turtle will be at the Icehouse Brewery with Karaoke from 7:00 to 10:00, The Hard To Tell Band will be playing at the Montross Brewery from 6:00 to 9:00 and Sally and Brian will be at Good Luck Cellars from 5:30 to 7:30.

Saturday kicks off the Festival season with the fourth annual Osprey Festival on Town Hill from 9:00 to 5:00 with around 30 vendors and exhibitors participating.  All activities on Town Hill are open to the public including the opportunity to see the work of several local artists, to meet face to face with a barred owl and a red-tailed hawk and to see Jason Swain create a Coopers Hawk with a chainsaw.  There will be children’s activities provided by BAMM.

Golf cart tours and Trolley tours will be available and presentations by local, regional and internationally renowned experts will take place at the Fisheries Building.  Details and ticketing information for these activities are available at https://www.colonialbeachospreyfestival.org/  The festival continues with the Grand Ole Ospr’y Concert at CB brewing with Carlos and the Castaways from 7:00 to 9:00.

Also on Saturday, Hydra FX will be at dockside from 7:00 to 11.00, The Hard To Tell Band will be playing at Ruby’s Restaurant in Hague, from 5:00 to 9:00 and the Riverboat will host Shelby Lynn Madison’s Farewell concert from 6:30 to 8:30.  Contact the Riverboat at 804 224 7055 for information and ticketing,

On Sunday Parks and Rec will host a “Fly Like an Osprey” kite flying event on the beach near Town Pier at noon.
